Cookie notice.
boardfizz keeps almost nothing on your device. No advertising cookies, no analytics, no third-party trackers — only one small key that remembers whether you accepted this notice. Here is the whole inventory, in plain English.
The short version.
- One local-storage key, set only after you choose Accept or Decline.
- No analytics, no advertising pixels, no behavioural tracking.
- No third-party cookies, and nothing embedded that would set them.
- Clear it whenever you like from your browser — the site keeps working.
Cookies and local storage, briefly
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser, which travels back to a server on every visit. Local storage is a simpler box the browser keeps for one site; it never reaches a server on its own. boardfizz sets no cookies at all. We use a single local-storage entry, and nothing else.
What we actually store
One entry, written only after you’ve made a choice on the cookie bar. Here it is in full:
dua_cookie
- Name: dua_cookie
- Type: first-party local storage — not a cookie, never sent to a server
- Purpose: remembers whether you accepted or declined this notice, so the bar stops asking
- Value: a short string, either “accepted” or “declined”
- Set when: only after you click Accept or Decline; nothing is stored before that
- Lifetime: stays until you clear it — it doesn’t expire on its own
- Shared with: no one; it never leaves your browser
What we don’t use
To be specific, none of the usual tracking machinery runs here:
- no analytics suite, hosted or self-run;
- no advertising or retargeting pixels of any kind;
- no social-media widgets or share-button trackers;
- no fingerprinting and no cross-site tracking.
Should we ever add something privacy-respecting, such as cookie-free visit counts, it will be listed here first. Nothing gets switched on quietly.
Why so little?
Because the alternative shapes the writing. Once a site lives on ad impressions or engagement dashboards, the pull is toward clicks, list-bait and outrage — the very things boardfizz exists to avoid. Holding nothing on you wasn’t bolted on later. It is the same stance as “no scores, no ads”, applied to your data.
Is the key necessary?
Strictly, no. The one entry we store is a convenience: it stops the cookie bar greeting you on every visit. The site renders, the briefs read and the form sends whether the key exists or not, so declining or clearing it costs you nothing. We have deliberately built nothing that would make storage a condition of using boardfizz.
Managing your choice
Declining keeps everything off; the only change is that the bar stops asking. To reset or remove the key entirely:
- clear site data or local storage for boardfizz in your browser’s settings;
- or open the site in a private window, where nothing persists once you close it.
Clearing it brings the notice back on your next visit. Nothing on the site breaks either way, because no feature depends on it.
If you’d rather find it yourself, most browsers keep site storage in one of these places:
- Settings → Privacy and security → Site settings → boardfizz.pages.dev.
- Settings → Privacy → Cookies and site data → Manage data.
- Settings → Privacy → Manage website data, then search for the site.
On a phone the same controls sit in your browser’s site-settings menu. Clearing browsing data for the site removes the key too.
Third-party content
We embed no third-party video players, comment widgets or ad units, so no outside cookies ride in through our pages. If that ever changes — an embedded clip in a brief, say — it will be noted here first and will load only with your say-so.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” header or a Global Privacy Control signal. We don’t track you across sites and don’t sell data in the first place, so those signals have nothing to switch off here. We still read them as a request to keep doing exactly what we already do, which is nothing. You don’t need to send one to get that treatment: it is the default for everyone.
Changes to this notice
If our storage ever changes, the date at the top and the inventory above are updated before anything new is set. Continuing to use boardfizz after a change means you accept the current version.
